"Reflections on Fall"

This is an acrylic landscape painting on 9" x 12" canvas panel.  I love both fall and summer in Kentucky.  Spring is excellent too, and winter isn't half bad most of the time.  I painted this last summer, just a few months after first picking up a brush for the firs time, and I wanted to try my hand at a fall scene,.  While the main reference was a royalty free photo I came across, I adapted the scene with powerful late-summer storm clouds, set behind captivating fall colors, all reflected in the calm waters of a small lake. Picnic anyone?
